The Android 15 logo features a mini lander with thrusters helping the craft decelerate onto the planet Bugdroid\u2014now officially known as “The Bot.”However, some interpretations suggest the updated release logo hints at satellite integration and upcoming support for communication using this method on Android devices. This theory might be true, but we’ll leave that open to interpretation.While the expansion is minimal, the Android 15 Easter egg builds on last year’s theme. After activation from the Settings menu, you control a small spacecraft zooming around a barren scale version of a star system.As before, you’ll see your current thruster percentage, location coordinates, and velocity in the screen’s bottom-left corner. More information is available in the top-left corner about the nearest star, including Android-related puns, class (on the Morgan-Keenan scale), radius, mass, and the number of celestial bodies in its orbit. It’s all very familiar and, dare we say it, a little disappointing.You can still find the localized star at the (0,0) coordinates, but using skill and following the orbital markers for any planets allows you to track and land on these celestial bodies. The only difference between this year’s Easter egg in Android 15 and Android 14 is that if you find a planet, reverse and land thrusters down, your spacecraft will now plant a yellow flag to signify you have arrived.That’s it. Everything else remains the same\u2014at least as far as we can tell.To try out the Android 15 Easter egg for yourself, you’ll need to install the latest preview build – Android 15 Beta 4 – onto a Pixel device. From there, it’s straightforward to activate:Open the Settings app and tap “About phone.”Scroll down and tap “Android version.”On this page, quickly tap “Android version” three times.You’ll be presented with the Android 14 logo. Press and hold it until the game activates.By following these steps, you can experience the new Easter egg and explore the updated space-themed minigame.
