Tricks that will help your phone look cooler and operate to its full capacity
It’s been a while since the Galaxy S8 and S8+ have been released in mid-2017, and it took the world some time to get used to it and test it out by themselves. Galaxy S8 and S8+ prove to be one of the most functional and user-friendly phones which provide you with a whole lot of opportunities no matter where you are using it.
And the Samsung’s virtual assistant journey also started with the Galaxy S8 and S8+, which is called Bixby. It may still need some improvements in various aspects since it is new, however until then it is still possible to use the Google Assistant. It does require an internet connection which can be problematic to achieve sometimes due to the UK’s geographical location.
A way to solve that is getting a mobile phone booster. Mobile phone repeaters help boost signal and provide connection stable enough for you to use both Bixby and Google Assistant. Coupled with that here are 5 other cool features that Galaxy S8 and S8+ have.
Over time phones have the ability to clog up a lot of unnecessary data, and the more apps you use the more it affects the performance of the phone. This can also affect the RAM and the battery usage of the phone. Of course, all of this can be manually managed through the device maintenance of the Galaxy S8 and S8+, but it can still be a problem because it has to be done frequently.
Another way to automatically solve this and avoid having to troubleshoot your phone every single time you can simply schedule an automatic restart of the phone for a specific day or days in the week during the inactive hours. You can do this through Apps Menu, by going to the Back Up & Reset and in the Device Management section selecting Auto Restart. This will help free up more RAM and make the phone function faster and avoid unnecessary and sudden restarts.
Another cool feature that Galaxy S8 and S8+ have is the Edge Panel which incorporates the Smart Select. This lets you select a particular portion of the screen and have it with you as a picture in your Gallery, it can be used with a single swipe from the edge of your screen as opposed to having to screenshot the whole screen and then have to crop the unnecessary part out.
You can also take a portion of the screen and pin it to the top to use it later through the “Pin to Top” feature. But what makes it even better is the GIF feature which lets you record a specific part of your screen for a limited amount of time and turn it into a GIF. To do so, simply enable your Edge Panel in the Display section of the Settings and put it on Smart Select.
Full screen feature for apps
If you are dealing with black bars on the sides of your phone when you are using a specific app, you can fill in the black bars by enabling the full screen feature for some of the apps and enjoy your experience. This can be done by going to the Display section in the Settings, and then following the Full screen apps. Here you can check all the apps you want to appear in full screen.
Manage new app icons
When you install new applications to your GalaxyS8 and S8+, they automatically create the app icon on a new page on the home screen. It can sometimes go unnoticed; however, it can also just create more unnecessary space for your home screen and make it look slightly unorganized. A way to avoid this is to go to the Google Play Store Settings and uncheck the section with “Add icon to the Home Screen”
Edge lighting for notifications
Whenever you play music stored in your phone via Samsung Music, the edges of your phone light up if you have the edge lighting enabled. They can be customized to light up according to the colors that match the screen at the time it is on. However, an even cooler feature to use is to actually have the edge lighting appear when you get a notification.
This can help you notice it faster. A way to do it is to select the “Edge Lighting” in the Edge screen section of Display Settings. Afterwards, select manage notifications and check the apps that you want to receive notifications for in form of edge lighting.
Now that you have these 5 cool features you can enjoy the experience with your Galaxy S8 and S8+to the fullest and explore its unique opportunities.
