With the Unpacked event marking significant product releases, the focus has shifted from the hardware launch to the upcoming Galaxy S25 series and what we can expect from it. Samsung appears to prioritize the design of the smartphone, with previous speculations hinting at rounded corners being included this time. A new leak has provided details on other design changes we might see with the S25 Ultra.
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra to Feature Major Design Enhancements and Improved Ergonomics
With the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold 6 recently launched, attention is now on the forthcoming S25 lineup. The rumor mill has been active, suggesting a design overhaul is anticipated for the S25 Ultra. This redesign aims to address consumer complaints regarding the S24 Ultra’s sharp edges and flat display, making it harder to grip. Samsung is committed to showing users that their feedback is valued, with plans to address these issues in the upcoming S series.
Users have expressed dissatisfaction with the S24 Ultra’s angular frame, which complicates gripping the device. According to recent reports, Samsung has been monitoring these concerns and seems poised to implement changes for the S25 Ultra. Renowned tipster Ice Universe previously suggested that the S24 Ultra’s sharp edges might be replaced with rounded corners, and he recently provided more details on this.
According to the leak, the S25 Ultra will adopt an asymmetrical frame for better ergonomics, allowing for a more comfortable grip over extended periods. The back panel will be more rounded, while the front will feature a flat design with a narrower side frame. The middle frame is expected to be thinner than its predecessor, with smaller hinges, making it both comfortable to hold and visually slimmer.
The leak indicates that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will be 8.4mm wide, compared to the relatively thicker 8.6mm of the previous version. Earlier reports also mentioned that opting for a thinner S25 Ultra design would not affect the camera sensors, maintaining the same attributes and resolution as planned for the model.
By focusing on these intricate details, Samsung aims to improve not only the visual appeal of the device but also address user dissatisfaction with the previous model, which appeared wider than it was and was not a pleasant experience in terms of grip. Even though there is still time before the smartphone’s release, users are eagerly anticipating the design upgrades and rear camera improvements promised for the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
