Samsung is reportedly shifting to an Apple-like proprietary connector for the Galaxy Watch Ultra.
With Samsung’s next Unpacked event less than two weeks away, leaks are increasing. Renowned leaker Evan Blass recently shared high-resolution marketing images of the upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Buds 3.
The “Ultra” smartwatch aligns with previously seen renders, revealing a proprietary connection similar to the Apple Watch. Unlike Samsung’s traditional spring pins, this model adopts a new method for attaching watch bands.
The display remains round, encased in a squircle design with orange accents reminiscent of Apple’s flagship wearable. Samsung’s version will come in three colors: silver, dark natural titanium, and black.
The standard Galaxy Watch 7 retains the company’s typical aesthetic. The olive green variant with subtle color highlights on the band stands out particularly well.
Blass also revealed images of the Galaxy Buds 3 and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. Both models are adopting a stemmed design, more angular than Apple’s AirPods but similarly styled, especially the glossy white Galaxy Buds 3.
The “Pro” buds feature a dark gray finish and a transparent case lid, moving away from the completely in-ear fit to a stemmed look. Samsung will likely detail the benefits of this design shift, which might include improved voice call quality and better AI assistant interaction due to the microphone’s closer proximity to the user’s mouth.
In addition to these wearables, Samsung is expected to introduce new foldables, the Galaxy Fold 6 and Flip 6, at the Unpacked event in Paris on July 10th. However, there is significant anticipation for Samsung’s first-ever smart ring, also expected to debut at the event.
