The atmosphere is charged with uncertainty. Not more than an hour ago, Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt.
Bafflingly, some media outlets refer to this assassination attempt as an “apparent attack” or an “incident.” Indeed, very baffling.
Trump Survives Assassination Attempt at Pennsylvania Rally
On Saturday, July 13, former President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was evacuated from a rally in Steward, Pennsylvania, after shots were heard at the venue.
Trump sustained a minor injury to his ear from a grazing bullet. Reports indicate that Trump was swiftly rescued by the Secret Service and left the scene with his fist raised and traces of blood on his ear. Authorities are investigating the incident as a potential assassination attempt.
Trump’s rally in Steward, near the Ohio border, was his last campaign event before the Republican National Convention, where he is set to be officially nominated as the presidential candidate. Pennsylvania is seen as a critical state in the upcoming November elections, where Trump aims to reclaim the presidency from Joe Biden, whom he lost to in 2020.
Shortly before the attack, President Joe Biden reportedly stated, “It’s time to put Trump in the crosshairs.” An unfortunate comment, if true… but that’s what various sources suggest.
Who and Why?
The assassination attempt comes at a time when Trump is the frontrunner for the November elections, while Biden faces declining popularity.
Some media outlets have faced criticism for not clearly labeling the attack as an assassination attempt.
In summary, while there are details about the incident and Trump’s health, authorities have yet to disclose the identity or motives of the perpetrator. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the circumstances behind this attack on the Republican presidential candidate.
Why Are Cryptocurrencies Rising?
The answer is clear: because Donald Trump is gaining ground over Biden in terms of crypto support. Recall that he is scheduled to attend one of the largest cryptocurrency events in Nashville (Tennessee) on July 27. Moreover, since May, he has been accepting digital currencies for campaign funding and has recently gained media support. Unlike Biden, Donald Trump is currently more pro-cryptocurrency.
Cryptocurrencies are surging because Trump survived this assassination attempt, and the market is celebrating: obviously, it benefits the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

U.S. Presidents Assassinated in Office
In the history of the United States, four presidents have been assassinated while in office:
- Abraham Lincoln (1861-1865): He was the first president to be assassinated. He was shot in the head by John Wilkes Booth, a Southern actor, on April 14, 1865, five days after the end of the Civil War. Lincoln died hours later at the age of 56.
- James A. Garfield (1881): He was assassinated by Charles J. Guiteau, a disgruntled lawyer seeking a government position, on September 19, 1881, just six months after taking office. Garfield died at the age of 49.
- William McKinley (1897-1901): He was assassinated by Leon Czolgosz, an anarchist, on September 6, 1901, at the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, New York. McKinley died eight days later at the age of 58.
- John F. Kennedy (1961-1963): He was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Kennedy was shot twice and died at the age of 46. His assassination remains shrouded in mystery and conspiracy theories.
Additionally, nine presidents survived assassination attempts, including Andrew Jackson, Theodore Roosevelt, Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan.
Conclusion
It’s unclear whether this was the act of a lone individual or a more organized effort, or even, as some media insinuate, another propaganda act from the Trump camp. However, what is very clear is that the cryptocurrency world is jubilant and relieved that the strong candidate for the White House in the upcoming November elections did not suffer more serious injuries.
Presidential assassinations have profoundly impacted U.S. history, altering the nation’s course. Motivations have ranged from personal vendettas to extremist ideologies. These tragic events highlight the inherent dangers of holding the world’s most powerful office.
