Lowe’s is excited to announce a strategic collaboration with renowned soccer icon Lionel Messi, alongside his Major League Soccer team, Inter Miami CF, and the upcoming CONMEBOL Copa América 2024 USA. This partnership aims to deliver unique benefits to members of the newly launched MyLowe’s Rewards and Lowe’s MVPs Pros Rewards programs.
Starting April 18, 2024, all members of these programs will be credited with 100 bonus loyalty points, which must be claimed via their account dashboards by May 18, 2024.
Messi, celebrated as one of the greatest soccer players globally, will be the first to join the “Lowe’s Home Team” initiative, which focuses on local community projects and is supported by various NFL and NBA athletes.
Additionally, this partnership will bring new in-stadium branding, community events, and player appearances at Lowe’s stores across the Miami area, enhancing the fan experience.
Exclusive Offers and Community Engagement
Loyalty members can earn additional points whenever Messi assists during the CONMEBOL tournament. Select Lowe’s stores are set to host family-friendly watch parties for the Copa América, complete with soccer-themed activities and DIY soccer goal workshops.
For a limited time, Lowe’s MVPs Pros Rewards members can also redeem their points for exclusive signed Messi memorabilia.
This collaboration builds upon Lowe’s existing partnership with Charlotte FC and underscores Lowe’s commitment to fostering community ties through the universal language of soccer.
“Lionel Messi’s unparalleled skill in assists mirrors our mission to support our customers’ aspirations, whether in their business endeavors or personal home improvement projects,” commented Jen Wilson, Lowe’s Senior Vice President of Enterprise Brand and Marketing.
Messi shared his enthusiasm, stating, “Just as soccer relies on teamwork, successful home improvement involves collaboration. I’m thrilled to join forces with Lowe’s, a brand that values helping individuals and communities thrive.”
Gerardo Soto, Lowe’s VP of Brand Marketing and Sports Partnerships, noted, “Our partnership with an influential athlete like Messi and prominent fútbol events allows us to connect more deeply with our diverse customer base, enhancing trust and broadening our reach.”
Xavier Asensi, Chief Business Officer at Inter Miami CF, expressed, “Our goal is for Inter Miami to be synonymous with global soccer excellence. Partnering with Lowe’s helps us continue to be leaders in the sport and serve our fútbol family.”
Located in Mooresville, N.C., Lowe’s operates over 1,700 stores and employs around 300,000 individuals.
