AMD has officially launched the Ryzen 5 7600X3D CPU, a Microcenter-exclusive 3D V-Cache product, now available at a price of $299 in the US.
Microcenter Expands Its AMD 3D V-Cache Lineup with the Ryzen 5 7600X3D, Priced at $299
Following the successful release of the Ryzen 5 5600X3D last year, which was the first 6-Core 3D-Cache option available for $229, AMD has now introduced another exclusive CPU—the Ryzen 5 7600X3D. Like its predecessor, this new chip is only available at Microcenter locations in the US. The previous model gained popularity among budget-conscious gamers, but its limited availability meant that only a select few could purchase it.
The newly launched Ryzen 5 7600X3D continues the trend, offering a 6-core processor based on the Zen 4 architecture, enhanced with 3D V-Cache technology. This CPU features 6 cores and 12 threads, along with 32 MB of L3 cache and an additional 64 MB of stacked 3D V-Cache, providing a total of 96 MB of L3 cache. The chip operates with a base clock speed of 4.1 GHz and can boost up to 4.7 GHz.
Similar to other CPUs in the AMD Ryzen 7000X3D lineup, the Ryzen 5 7600X3D supports PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) and CO (Curve Optimizer), and offers up to 24 PCIe Gen 5.0 lanes. It also supports DDR5-5200 memory natively and can handle higher speeds with EXPO profiles, with memory capacities up to 128 GB.
The CPU has a TDP of 65W, making it a power-efficient option for gamers, and it is compatible with almost any AM5 motherboard, including entry-level A620 models. The Ryzen 5 7600X3D will be available both as a standalone product and in bundles. One such bundle, priced at $449.99, includes an ASUS TUF Gaming B650-PLUS WiFi motherboard and 32 GB of DDR5-6000 memory, offering a combined savings of $182 according to Microcenter and AMD, making it an appealing choice for system builders.
In addition to this, Microcenter is offering a similarly priced bundle featuring the Ryzen 7 9700X, which includes an AM5 motherboard and 32 GB of G.Skill DDR5-6000 memory. AMD is also planning to release the Ryzen 5 5500X3D soon, which will be another entry-level 6-core 3D V-Cache CPU based on the Zen 3 architecture, with support for AM4 motherboards.
