The ASUS Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition is a special edition laptop designed for the Chinese market, offering a unique feature—an integrated fragrance dispenser—alongside the powerful AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 APU.
ASUS Adol 14 Features Ryzen AI 9 365 APU with Strix Point Architecture
ASUS has launched a special edition of its Adol 14 laptop, following the initial release of the model in July. This updated version features the cutting-edge Strix Point “Ryzen AI 9 365” 10-core APU, which replaces the previous Hawk Point Ryzen 8000 processors. This particular edition is exclusive to the Chinese market and will emit a pleasing fragrance to enhance the user experience.
The news was first reported by Weibo user @realVictor_M, who detailed the features of the Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition. The laptop runs on the AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 APU, a powerful chip with 10 cores, including 4 Zen 5 cores and 6 Zen 5c cores. The laptop also includes Radeon 880M integrated graphics, making it one of the select few to utilize this specific APU, while many premium laptops are opting for the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370.
High-Performance Specs with a Unique Fragrance Feature
The Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition retains most of the specifications from its predecessor, including the impressive 3K (2880x1800p) resolution on a 14-inch OLED display. The screen refreshes at 240Hz, providing an ultra-smooth experience, especially for gamers, while offering high contrast for vivid, detailed visuals. Additional specs include LPDDR5 7500 MHz memory and a 75Wh battery, which delivers up to 14 hours of video playback.
Since the laptop does not come with a discrete GPU, it benefits from extended battery life, making it suitable for gaming, productivity, and everyday tasks. The most unique aspect of this model is the built-in fragrance dispenser located on the lid, which releases a pleasant aroma. Users can swap out the fragrance sheet with different scents based on their personal preferences.
Collaboration and Pricing
The Adol 14 Air Fragrance Edition is a product of collaboration between ASUS, Adol, and designer Anna Sui. It is priced at 9199 RMB, though it will be discounted to 8999 RMB (approximately $1200 USD) at launch. The laptop will be available in China starting from October 1, 2024.
