Civilization 7 Gets February 2025 Release Date and First Gameplay Trailer

Civilization 7, the long-anticipated latest installment in developer Firaxis’ beloved 4X strategy series, finally has a release date. The game is set to launch on February 11, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

But that’s not all! Alongside giving strategy enthusiasts a date to mark on their 2025 calendars, Firaxis has also unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Civilization 7. This trailer follows June’s eye-catching yet somewhat vague cinematic reveal and showcases a game that visually sits somewhere between the vibrant, cartoony style of Civilization 6 and the more realistic approach seen in earlier titles in the series.

There’s even more to look forward to; Firaxis plans to dive deeper into the features highlighted in the trailer with a 20-minute gameplay showcase. This event is scheduled to air at 9:30 PM BST/1:30 PM PT on Twitch, right after Gamescom Opening Night Live wraps up. Additionally, Techloot will provide extensive coverage and insights on Civilization 7.

According to its Steam page, Civilization 7 will be available in three different editions: Standard, Deluxe, and a digital-only Founders Edition, priced at £59.99, £89.99, and £119.99 respectively. While the exact details of what each edition includes aren’t entirely clear, the Founders Edition, which launches slightly later on February 28, comes with the following:
