Team FOLON, the indie studio behind the highly anticipated Fallout London mod, has announced that players can finally explore a post-apocalyptic London starting today, July 25. The process to get started can be a bit complex, so make sure to check our guide on how to play Fallout: London.
Although this release might seem sudden, Team FOLON has been teasing it for a week. The studio announced (via Kotaku) in its Discord that GOG gave the mod the green light and it was in its final stages. Then, on July 24, Team FOLON project manager Dean Carter shared another update in their Discord saying, “Stay safe and remember. Mind the gap.” This message was accompanied by a link to the song “I Just Can’t Wait (For Tomorrow)” featured in Fallout London. In a conversation with Inverse, Carter confirmed that Fallout London would be playable on July 25.
Fallout London was initially set to launch earlier this year on April 23 but was delayed due to the Fallout 4 current-gen update. As the name suggests, Fallout London is set in London and takes place 50 years before the events of Fallout 4. The mod emphasizes realism and melee combat and features voice acting from Neil Newbon (Baldur’s Gate 3), Colin Baker (Doctor Who), and Sylvester McCoy (Doctor Who).
