Prepare to step back into Aloy’s world as Horizon Zero Dawn receives a stunning remaster, set to launch on October 31st.
Sony announced during its latest State of Play event that the remastered version of Horizon Zero Dawn will be released for both PlayStation 5 and PC. This version promises breathtaking new visuals and upgraded features that will enhance the overall gaming experience.
Rumors Become Reality: Horizon Zero Dawn Remaster Confirmed
Rumors about the potential Horizon Zero Dawn remaster began circulating in 2022. However, just last week, the ESRB rating for the remastered version surfaced, confirming its release on both the PS5 and PC platforms.
Originally released in 2017, Horizon Zero Dawn follows Aloy, a skilled hunter navigating a post-apocalyptic world dominated by robotic creatures. Players must strategically defeat these enemies using a variety of weapons like bows, spears, and stealth tactics.
Sony previously brought the game to PC in 2020 and introduced a PS5 update in 2021 that unlocked 60 frames per second. The upcoming remaster will likely take full advantage of the enhanced hardware capabilities of the PS5 Pro, which launches in November.
If you already own Horizon Zero Dawn on PlayStation or PC, you’ll have the option to upgrade to the remastered version for just $9.99. For new players, the remaster will be priced at $49.99.
