Insomniac Games’ highly acclaimed action-adventure, which first launched on the PS5 last October, is officially set to debut on PC early next year, with Nixxes Software managing the PC port.
Continuing Sony’s initiative to bring PlayStation-exclusive titles to a broader audience, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 follows the recent success of titles like God of War: Ragnarok and Until Dawn on PC. Announced during Marvel’s New York Comic-Con panel, the open-world game will be available for PC on January 30, 2025, through Steam and the Epic Games Store. Just like other Sony titles ported to PC, it will require a PlayStation Network account, even though it’s a single-player experience.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launched for the PS5 last October, introducing players to dual gameplay as both Miles Morales and Peter Parker, with smooth transitions between the two Spider-Man heroes. The game features major villains like Kraven the Hunter and Venom, while also improving traversal mechanics, combat, and more to offer a polished experience.
In our review, we rated it a stellar 9/10, stating: “Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 delivers the kind of sequel fans have been waiting for. Though it has a few stumbles, it ultimately enhances what made the previous games successful, pushing the experience further in meaningful ways.”
Since its release, the game has sold over 11 million units globally as of April 2024, underscoring its massive success.
