Monster Hunter remains one of Capcom’s best-selling franchises, and during the September State of Play, Monster Hunter Wilds officially received its release date. The game is set to launch on February 28, 2025. Players who pre-order Monster Hunter Wilds on PlayStation 5 will receive exclusive bonuses, including special cosmetics like a talisman, a unique armor set, and a mini digital artbook. Additionally, pre-orders will come with save data bonuses, which can be transferred to Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, providing extra cosmetics for your Felynes. It’s not yet confirmed if these bonuses will extend to the PC version.
High-Definition Gameplay and New Features Showcased in Latest Trailer
The trailer offered fans a glimpse into the high-quality gameplay they can expect when Monster Hunter Wilds releases. It also revealed some new monsters and storyline elements, all packed into a 3-minute and 30-second preview.
One of the standout features in the trailer is the Scarlet Forest, a new region players will be able to explore in the upcoming game. With Monster Hunter Wilds winning multiple awards at Gamescom and anticipation growing, the game promises to deliver a vast and immersive world for players to dive into, despite its release still being months away.
Special Editions and Upcoming Event Showcases
Monster Hunter Wilds will be available in three editions: the Standard Edition, the Deluxe Edition, and the Premium Deluxe Edition. The Premium Deluxe Edition offers the most bonuses, including extra cosmetics and other in-game perks.
Capcom is also confirmed as an exhibitor at the Tokyo Game Show 2024, which starts on September 26. There, fans can expect to see more of Monster Hunter Wilds, alongside other Capcom titles such as Street Fighter 6, Monster Hunter Now, and Ace Attorney Investigations Collection.
Whether more trailers or new content for Monster Hunter Wilds will be revealed at Tokyo Game Show is something fans will have to wait and see when the event kicks off at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM BST on September 26.
