According to a reliable insider, despite no official announcement yet, the PlayStation 5 Pro is still set to launch this year.
During the most recent Game Mess Mornings, Jeff Grubb provided updates on Sony’s unrevealed system, stating that the last information he received indicated that the console is on track to release in 2024. Additionally, Grubb mentioned the possibility of a State of Play presentation happening towards the end of September. While he couldn’t confirm if the PlayStation 5 Pro will be featured in that event, the chances seem promising.
At this stage, the PlayStation 5 Pro has become an open secret, with many in the gaming industry aware of its existence. During this year’s Gamescom, a developer shared with Alessio that they had received information about the system’s specifications and were confident that Unreal Engine 5 games would perform better on it. Given that this information came from a smaller developer, it suggests that Sony has been sharing these details with a broad range of developers in preparation for the official announcement and subsequent release.
As of now, the PlayStation 5 Pro has not been officially announced by Sony. However, with rumors and leaks continuing to surface, an announcement seems imminent. We will keep you updated with the latest news as it becomes available, so stay tuned.
