With Apple’s highly anticipated event just days away, last-minute leaks and rumors are surfacing about the new devices and their expected specifications. The main attraction is set to be the upcoming iPhone 16 series, which will be officially revealed on September 9th. Many are eagerly awaiting Apple’s advancements in Apple Intelligence and how it will be integrated into the new devices. A recent report sheds light on what to expect from the event and provides fresh updates on the upcoming lineup.
New Report Highlights Key Details of Apple’s Upcoming Products
Mark Gurman has shared his insights regarding the new products Apple will unveil during Monday’s event, with additional last-minute updates on the devices.
iPhone 16 Pro
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models are expected to feature a sleeker design, slimmer bezels, and larger displays—6.3 inches for the iPhone 16 Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max. The Pro model will now come with 256GB of base storage, and both Pro models will include the 5x telephoto lens, previously exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Apple is also equipping the series with faster chips and an upgraded Neural Engine to further integrate Apple Intelligence. One major change is the new Capture button, designed to function like a DSLR camera’s shutter button. This button will allow users to focus by pressing lightly and then snap a photo by pressing harder.
AirPods
The fourth-generation AirPods will see significant improvements, including the ability to function as a hearing aid alternative and even conduct hearing tests—a major advancement for wearables. However, a software bug could delay their release, according to reports.
Apple Watch
For the first time, Apple is expected to refresh all Apple Watch models at the “Its Glowtime” event. The Apple Watch Series 10 is anticipated to receive a major design overhaul, with a thinner casing and larger display. This would mark the first substantial design change since the Apple Watch 7 series. The Apple Watch Ultra 3, on the other hand, will likely focus on internal upgrades rather than external changes. While Apple Intelligence features won’t debut on the new models, they could be announced as future health-related functionalities. Earlier rumors suggested the inclusion of a hypertension detection feature, but recent reports indicate that may not be part of this release.
Other Announcements
New iPad models and Mac products are expected to be unveiled at a separate event in October rather than at this September event. Stay tuned for more updates as Apple could still surprise us with additional releases on Monday.
