Apple recently wrapped up its major event, unveiling the iPhone 16 series with some exciting upgrades for the coming year. The new devices feature powerful hardware capable of competing with the market, but what’s truly making waves is Apple’s upcoming AI-driven Apple Intelligence feature. Following the event, Apple also revealed the official release dates for iOS 18 and other related updates.
Apple’s iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 Release Date Announced
iOS 18 is a significant update, and ever since Apple first showcased it during the WWDC in June, users have been eagerly awaiting the final version. One of the highlights of this update is the introduction of Apple Intelligence, a brand-new AI feature. Though iOS 18 has been available in beta, it was primarily for developers as it contained numerous bugs that made it less suitable for general use.
Apple has now confirmed that iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 will officially roll out on September 16, just a week from now. The update will be compatible with all iPhones from the iPhone XR and later models. This release marks the beginning of a new era for AI integration across Apple’s devices, not just limited to the iPhone.
Developers Already Have Access to iOS 18
At present, Apple has made the final release candidate builds of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, watchOS 11, macOS 15, visionOS 2, and tvOS 18 available for developers. If you’re eager to test these updates early, you can download them directly from your device’s Settings app. However, we recommend waiting for the official public release to avoid potential bugs or issues that might affect your device’s performance.
Other Exciting Announcements From Apple
Aside from the iPhone 16, Apple also announced the Apple Watch Series 10, AirPods 4, AirPods Pro, and a refreshed AirPods Max with new color options. Stay tuned for more updates, as we’ll be covering all the details and additional follow-ups from the event.
