The Apple Watch Series X is set to be unveiled at the highly anticipated ‘It’s Glowtime’ event on September 9. As Apple marks the tenth iteration of its popular smartwatch, fans are eager to see what new features will be introduced. However, recent leaks have surfaced, shedding light on the upcoming wearable’s display. If you’re expecting significant upgrades, you might be slightly disappointed.
Minimal Display Size Upgrade, But a New Flat Screen Design
Early rumors suggested that the Apple Watch Series X would come in two models, with the largest version boasting a 49mm display, up from the current 45mm. However, insider reports now indicate a more modest upgrade. The display size is expected to increase by just 1mm, with the larger model featuring a 46mm screen and the smaller version going from 41mm to 42mm.
Despite some previous claims of a 2-inch display, the latest images suggest otherwise. These earlier reports might have been speculative, and the new information indicates that Apple has opted for a more conservative approach in terms of screen size.
The good news is that the Apple Watch Series X is expected to feature a flat display, similar to the design of the Apple Watch Ultra, moving away from the curved screens seen in previous generations. This change could give the watch a more modern, sleek appearance.
Anticipating More Changes in Apple’s Tenth Smartwatch
While the design and display of the Apple Watch Series X have been hot topics of discussion, there’s still much speculation about what other features Apple might introduce. Given that this is the tenth model in the series, significant changes could be on the horizon, reminiscent of the design overhaul seen with the iPhone X.
However, with no official confirmation yet, we’ll have to wait for the ‘It’s Glowtime’ event to see what Apple has in store.
