Anticipation grows as the next iPhone generation may mark the first major size expansion in five years.
In a recent leak, images purportedly show the anticipated iPhone 16 lineup with noticeable changes in dimensions. Tech enthusiast Sonny Dickson has shared what appears to be mock-ups of the upcoming iPhone 16 series, including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max.

This year’s models seem to retain the dimensions of their predecessors, with notable exceptions in the Pro lineup. The iPhone 16 Pro is rumored to increase by 0.2 inches to 6.3 inches, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max might stretch to 6.9 inches from 6.7 inches.
These size adjustments represent the most significant design shift since the introduction of the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models with the iPhone 12 series. For those who prefer compact devices, the larger sizes of the Pro models might pose a challenge for pocket space. However, the expanded chassis could facilitate substantial hardware upgrades, such as a 5x telephoto camera on both Pro models, and potentially larger batteries to accommodate enhanced components.
As speculation mounts, the definitive details about the iPhone 16 sizes will only be confirmed by Apple, likely during their usual September product reveal.
