What to Expect in Windows 11 Build 22631.3593:
The May 2024 Patch Tuesday update brings various changes, including new Start menu recommendations, essentially advertisements. This feature highlights selected Store applications, aimed at enhancing app discovery.
Microsoft is also experimenting with displaying third-party ads directly in the Start menu. If these ads or recommendations are not to your liking, they can be easily dismissed with a right-click.
If you prefer not to see third-party suggestions in the Start menu altogether, navigate to Settings > Personalization > Start and deactivate “Show recommendations for tips, app promotions, and more.”
This option is also available on systems updated with Windows 11 KB5037771 or earlier versions.
Microsoft is developing a feature for the Start menu that will emphasize frequently utilized applications in the “Recommended” section, excluding those already pinned to the Start or Taskbar.
The implementation of these Start menu enhancements will occur gradually over the next few weeks and may vary by region. For instance, advertisements may not appear in European regions. Nonetheless, you can install the update now to experience these new features.

A new Mobile Device Management (MDM) policy named “AllowScreenRecorder” has been implemented, affecting the Snipping Tool by enabling IT administrators to restrict screen recording functionalities.
The update addresses several other technical issues including support for Arm64 .msi files, enhancements in network protocol handling, and fixes for memory leaks.
